Our Story
We have a deep connection to nature and a commitment to environmental stewardship, inspired by my father’s career as an environmental scientist and soil water engineer. The decision to invest in walnut wood trees along the Rush Creek River demonstrates a long-term vision for sustainable forestry.
My family planted about 850 trees in the late 1980s, and now, with around 25 of those trees ready for harvest, we’ve started a lumber company to bring them to market. This initiative not only honors my father’s legacy, who passed away in 2007, but also aims to benefit our community.
Our shared passion for nature and hard work is evident, as is our desire to support local crafters, loggers, and the woodworking industry. By providing services to the cabin and resort sectors, as well as meeting the firewood and lumber needs of the general public, we are contributing to both the local economy and the community’s connection to natural resources. We specialize in hardwoods, offering products like quarter sawn hardwood for those who need precision cut, premium wood.
